Finding your authentic self connected with nature

Imagine if you were able to discover your soul’s path, and your connection to the Holy Wild.

There comes a time when life no longer makes sense, when the familiar no longer fits, and meaning feels just out of reach. Some call it the Dark Night of the Soul—a space of loss, confusion, or deep questioning. Yet, this liminal space is often where the greatest transformation begins. It is a kind of spiritual labor, a birthing of the holy within. No longer following the paths laid out by others, we find ourselves standing at the edge of the known, drawn toward the untamed wild of our souls and the natural world. When the moment feels right, we step across the threshold, no longer seeking certainty but a deeper, more authentic truth.

This is a courageous moment. Trusting the gentle nudging of Spirit is the beginning of growing a soul. With each step, synchronicities emerge, guiding us toward wholeness. Whether you call it the Holy Wild, the Great Mystery, God, or the Tao, the name matters less than the presence itself.

To be seen, companioned, and held in your unfolding is to remember that you are not alone. This is the power of spiritual companionship—walking together, not as followers, but as seekers, supported in a circle of kindred souls.

spiritual companionship is walking together, supported as seekers of inner wisdom

Eco-Spiritual Companioning: Connecting with the Sacred in You and Around You

Eco-Spiritual Companioning is a way of exploring your spiritual journey while embracing the idea that the Sacred—the Holy—is alive everywhere, in all things. It’s about deepening your connection not just with yourself, but with the land, the animals, and the natural world that surrounds us. This process helps dissolve the old idea that our spirits are separate from our bodies or that we’re separate from others. In truth, we’re all interconnected, and those threads of connection are where the Sacred shows up.

What Our Sessions Look Like

When we meet, our focus will be on listening—to your heart, your experiences, and the voice of Spirit as it speaks through you and the living world. Whenever possible, sessions take place outdoors, so we can connect with nature directly. If we’re indoors, I’ll encourage you to have a view of the natural world—a window to the trees, sky, or whatever reminds you of the beauty outside.

We’ll start and end with something grounding, like a poem, blessing, or short meditation. The rest of the session is a space for you to bring whatever’s on your mind or heart. Whether it’s questions, struggles, or spiritual experiences, this is a safe and sacred space for you to explore and share without judgment. These sessions aren’t psychotherapy—they’re a chance to be deeply heard and supported as you make sense of your journey.

Equine-Guided Companioning

If you’re local, there’s a unique opportunity to experience Equine-Guided Companioning with one of my Arabian horses. Horses have an incredible way of reading energy and emotions, often showing us things we’ve been carrying but didn’t realize. Spending time with them in a quiet, reflective way can spark powerful insights and help you move through places where you feel stuck. It’s a gentle yet profound experience that can open doors to deeper self-awareness and growth.

Whether we’re walking together outside, sharing in conversation, or connecting with the wisdom of the horses, Eco-Spiritual Companioning is about creating a space where you can feel supported, connected, and deeply in tune with yourself and the world around you.

  • “I’ve had the privilege of working with Chantal for about two years now, through her mindfulness meditation sangha, her Women’s Drum Circle (Sisters of the Sacred Wild), and also through private eco-spiritual companioning. To say it’s been life changing would be an understatement. The growth I’ve experienced working with Chantal has been truly transformative! With her guidance, I’ve developed my own meditation and contemplative practices, and deepened my connection to the Earth. Spending time on her property, surrounded by nature and her horses,  brings a profound sense of peace. Connecting with other women who share a commitment to humility, gratitude, and a deep bond with the Earth has been incredibly inspiring. I’ve learned so much from Chantal and the women I’ve met through her sacred circles; I am endlessly grateful for this little community she has nurtured!”

  • “I have known Chantal for over ten years and have been honoured to share soul friendship with her for most of that time. One of the things that has been constant in our many conversations is her deep and unwavering need for every aspect of her everyday life to be indivisible for her spiritual life. What better spiritual companion could there be than someone who understands the desire to walk, wholly and completely soul-first…someone who understands, through personal experience, the challenges we may face along the way?”

  • “I met Chantal some 12 years ago when she introduced me to meditation according to the Plum Village tradition, and the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. Over the years Chantal proved herself to be an inspiring mentor, not by preaching but by teaching in the quiet way that reflects the teacher she has so admired, Thich Nhat Hanh. Thanks to Chantal I have come to know his teachings through various books we have discussed and I have come to appreciate daily meditation as part of my day. Chantal embodies Thay’s teachings in all she does, whether leading a Dharma sharing in the sangha, a Yoga class, or working with her cherished horses. She has helped me connect with the world and with myself in ways I will always cherish. As Thay has taught us: “Our own life has to be our message.” That thought guides me everyday and I am thankful to Chantal for her example and her guidance throughout the years.”

  • “I initially met Chantal over 20 yrs ago at a retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh at Stonehill College in Boston, MA. I am inspired by the depth of her practice and healing energy. On a personal level the Dharma has helped her heal and transition through many difficult circumstances. She has a magnetic and joyful personality. She radiates calm and brilliance like a jewel in the net of Indra. Her contribution and benefit to our mahasangha will continue to grow.”
